In 1989 Brandt Construction, Inc. served as Construction Manager/General Contractor for the Christ Church Cathedral renovation project. Exterior work included replacing the slate roof and terra cotta cresting. Interior work included completely gutting the church nave down to the stone walls. Then insulation, new plaster walls, and ceilings were installed to improve acoustics in anticipation of a new organ. Existing pews were dismantled, labeled, repaired, refinished and reinstalled. Travertine floors were cleaned and enhanced with inlays. Second floor renovations were completed to upgrade administrative areas. All work was completed utilizing a 20’ X 50’ staging/storage area along Meridian Street.
