This project was started in January of 1990. Shortly before the owner took possession, vandals stole all the copper out of the building, and a hard freeze caused extensive damage to the mechanical and electrical systems. Therefore, the first task of this project was to redesign and rebuild these systems from the ground up. Also included in the work was re-roofing the building, and the replacement of all exterior curtain wall glazing system. Once the exterior was “dried in” and the mechanical systems were repaired, finish work proceeded from the top down. The entire five floor building was completely gutted and renovated in a 9 month time frame.

Features:

• Project included new mechanical systems and sprinkler system.

• New electrical service included a back up emergency generator system.

• In light of the clientele, handicap accessibility was a critical issue.

• A new drive through canopy was added to facilitate patient drop off.

• Brandt Construction, Inc. built a handicap accessible playground addition in 1991.
