Project Name: Bill Estes Chevrolet
Project Scope: BCI is proud to join forces with
the team at Bill Estes Chevrolet and CSO Architects and commence
work on expansion at the intersection of 96th Street and Michigan
Road just north of I-465. Work will take place from September
through late January.
During the design and preconstruction phase, the team at Bill
Estes Chevrolet, CSO Architects, and Brandt Construction, Inc.
were faced with a challenge. This was that Bill Estes Chevrolet
needed to stay open, and continue to sell cars during construction.
Brandt Construction worked with subcontractors to determine exactly
when materials and manpower will be available in order to keep
the sales offices open as long as possible until the Main Showroom
is occupied, demolished, and put back together in the shortest
time possible. Along with the Showroom renovation, the project
will also consist of a sales office addition to the Showroom and
Service addition to the existing Service area. These areas will
be phased as follows:
Phase 1: Already in progress – begin demolition of the
SE building façade and begin the new sales office expansion.
Phase 1 will consist of footings, metal stud, drywall, metal panel
façade, and new TPO roofing along with interior finishes
after the roof is on the addition, phase 2 will commence.
Phase 2: Demolition and reconstruction of the upper level offices.
Personnel currently occupying the 2nd floor will be relocated
while BCI and team demo’s and refinishes the upper level.
Phase 3: The last phase and most critical includes the renovation
and refinishing of the existing Showroom. This includes a new
façade configuration of the curtain wall glass, removal
of the old triangular branding design, and replacement with new
GM stand alone entry element. Completely new finishes throughout,
and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and communication
system upgrades.
Service Addition: During the above phases, Brandt Construction,
Inc. will also be continuing on the Service Addition to the existing
service area. This building consists of a structural steel framed
building, masonry and metal façade, and MEP systems to
accommodate the service tools and equipment housed inside.
Brandt Construction, Inc. is excited to be part of another project
for this great client.
Project Status: Project is in final
stages of construction.
