Construction of the 23,000 square foot Transfer Station began
in August of 2006. The existing buildings and site were razed
prior to the new construction. The pre-engineered building was
erected on cast-in-place concrete foundations. The project also
included massive concrete push and retaining walls and 13"
thick floor slabs. The facility was designed and constructed to
be Republic's most technologically advanced Transfer Station to
date. It was completed in July 2007.
Features:
- Partial depth drive through loading tunnel
- Leachate System - to contain/collect all fluids from
within the building in an above ground storage tank separate
from all storm and sanitary systems.
- 15,800 square foot tipping floor
- Full fire sprinkler system
- Negative pressure exhaust system
- Odor control system
- Platform and axle scales
- Large drive through tarping station
- Scale House office building
