This project involved the total rehabilitation of an existing IPS School building into a new police quadrant headquarters for the Indianapolis Police Department. The first step, demolition of the older portion of the building, was performed under a separate contract. Brandt Construction, Inc.’s work included total interior renovation, new mechanical and electrical systems, addition of 800 square foot entry vestibule, and construction of a new 3,500 square foot motorcycle barn. The entire project was completed in a 9 month time frame.

Features:

  • The existing portal to the turn of the century school building was preserved as an entry to the parking lot.
  • The new entry vestibule and reception area was constructed of bullet proof glass.
  • The newly built motorcycle garage is the new home to IPD Precision Motorcycle Drill Team.
  • The gymnasium was completely renovated.
  • The project included extensive work to parking lots, site development, and landscaping.
