In the winter of 2003, Brandt Construction was contracted by Wabash College to serve as Construction Manager and General Contractor on their proposed Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity project. In March of 2006, renovations and additions to the existing structure began. The renovations and additions to the 19,800 square foot Phi Kappa Psi House will enhance the community living and private areas, as well as bring the entire house up to current campus standards for residential housing. A new 700 square foot foyer addition to the front side of the house provides a new entrance and allows expansion of the Great Hall. Renovation to the resident rooms included replacing the HVAC system, adding fire protection, and upgrading the technology and fire alarm systems. The 3rd floor cold air dormitory was closed off with new partitions to create sleeping rooms and study rooms similar to the lower floors. The project was completed by the Spring 2007 semester.

Features:

  •  Replacement of the existing dorm-wing roofing.
  •  Complete installation of new windows
  •  Complete renovation of all bunkrooms

  •  New west patio area

  •  New mechanical, electrical, and fire protection system

  •  Complete new architectural finishes

  •  New kitchen equipment
