Early in September of 2002, Brandt Construction, Inc. was selected by Republic Services of Indiana to serve as the general contractor on their consolidated facilities project.  Initially Republic Services had offices in three different locations in Indianapolis.  The concept of the consolidated facilities project was to close on property and create another campus-like property that included an 8,050SF addition to the existing Truck Maintenance Facility, an adjoining 32,000SF Administrative and Operations Facility, and ample truck and personnel parking space that would connect the new construction to the existing Paper Plant.  The new Truck Maintenance Facility accommodates 12 truck stalls and office space for the Dispatch and Mechanical Support departments.  The Administrative and Operations Facility includes open office areas, conference space, break rooms, and Executive Offices; constructed with care in a modern style.

Features:

  • The two-story building is structured to receive an additional third level if growth dictates such a need.
  • The specialized training room is equipped with distance-video/audio conferencing and data ports at individual work stations to facilitate information and education sessions.
  • The new workstations are tailored to the staff's needs and include vision panels for an open feel as well as natural light and indirect light fixtures for optimum computer use.
  • Conference spaces of various sizes are provided to accommodate the differing space and technology needs of the staff.
  • The new entry foyer is inviting as it faces the canal, yet provides critical security at the primary point of entry.
  • The project included extensive work to parking lots, site development, and landscaping.
