Brandt Construction, Inc. began the construction of a Transportation Building and cafeteria addition for the Roosevelt Middle School in early July of 2008. The growing number of students needing cafeteria services prompted the 3,600 square foot expansion. The addition consisted of a concrete building pad, structural steel framing, EPDM roofing, exterior brick finish and EIFS to match the existing building, interior masonry block walls with vaulted tile ceilings, and VCT flooring. The Transportation Building was in need of an extra room as well, and a 3,900 square feet pre-engineered metal building was added as well as an expanded bus parking area.
