In April of 2002, Brandt Construction was contracted by Wabash College to serve as Construction Manager and General Contractor on their proposed Sigma Chi Fraternity project.  Beginning in October of 2002, a new four story, 22,670SF fraternity was constructed and included bunk rooms, study rooms, a kitchen, dining area, meeting area, and a recreation area.  Extensive sitework was also part of the scope.  Brandt Construction Inc. self-performed all rough carpentry and door, frame and hardware installation.  The project was completed in 11 months and was completed under budget.

Features:

  • Project included extensive sitework and landscaping (i.e. demo of existing house, new sidewalks, new storm to city, MSE walls and railings, curbs, parking lot, and a garden).
  • Octagonal shaped dining room.
  • Foyer is circular shaped with a radial stairway and a porcelain tile floor.
  • Alumni room and dining area feature oak crown molding and oak wainscot.
