In February of 2007 Brandt Construction, Inc. began the additions, renovations, and site improvements to St. Monica Catholic Church. The additions included a 17,000 square foot Parish Life Center consisting of a hardwood sports court, athletic offices, restrooms, and storage areas; and a 2-story 5,000 square foot classroom addition which consisted of four new classrooms and two expanded classrooms. The renovations included converting the existing gymnasium into nurseries, meeting rooms, restrooms, conference rooms, and storage; and completely demolishing and renovating the existing commercial kitchen. The site improvements included a new parking area, site utilities, and landscaping. Special care and coordination was taken by Brandt Construction, Inc. to allow the church and school to stay open during the construction project. The renovation of the commercial kitchen had to be completed during the school's summer vacation, allowing only 8 weeks for construction activities.
