In September of 2008 Brandt Construction, Inc. was awarded the redevelopment of the University Food Court into a new Banquet Hall and Conference Center. The renovated space included a large banquet area, lobby, receiving area, restrooms, exhibition kitchen, kitchen preparation area, and storage areas. The project also included the expansion of the existing Restaurant and bar to include a family dining area. Construction consisted of new mechanical and electrical systems, audio/visual system, projection screens, electronic roller shades, operable partitions, walnut paneling, aluminum storefronts, operable storefront system, exterior landscaping and hardscaping, carpet, ceramic tile, and quarry tile. This project was successfully completed in 12 weeks to allow the University to use the space for a previously scheduled conference with Microsoft.
