Project Name: Republic Services 2nd Floor Addition

Project Scope: Brandt Construction, Inc. has broken ground on a 2nd floor addition to Republic Services Indianapolis Headquarters. Brandt Construction, Inc. was the contractor who built the original building in 2002. The new addition will contain mostly office and conference room space; and new stair tower. Structural steel will support the structure having metal stud walls and masonry veneer facade. Interior components will include gypsum board walls, hollow metal doors and frames, acoustical ceilings, and carpet. The major challenges that Brandt Construction, Inc. will face is working on top of an occupied building, tying new steel columns to the existing, and relocating active air handling units to the new roof after the new structure is built around them.

Project Status: Begin final paint, install balance of carpet, re-install vinyl wall covering at existing Lobby, and begin final clean at end of week.
