The town of Fishers desired that the architecture and history of the community be preserved and a multi-purpose Town Center be created to include such fundamental services as government, public safety, information services and a community building. In late 1995, the newly constructed Fishers Train Station was completed. This facility was designed to resemble a train station in an effort to capture the historical past of this former railroad community. The building provides residents and businesses with a multi-purpose facility which offers information services, a meeting room, and a ticket booth for special rail excursions like the annual Indiana State Fair Train. It also houses the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Fishers Chamber of Commerce, and the Hoosier Heritage Port Authority which oversees the operation of the 37 mile corridor.

Features:

  • Designed as a period train station.
  • Decorative canopy adjacent to tracks for passenger waiting.
  • Accommodates offices for city.
