In the spring of 1998, Brandt Construction, Inc. was hired to assist in the design and construction of the Raywood Orthodontist Office. The building is a single story, stick framed medical office building built in Muncie, IN. The 3,500 square foot structure was finished on the exterior with glazed brick, limestone and standard brick. The areas consisting of reception, Orthodontic bay, sterilization, consultation room, doctors office, etc. were designed with a circular traffic pattern. One unique feature is the Orthodontic bay, which was designed with six chairs facing an exterior glass wall looking into an extensively landscaped garden that included bird feeders. There is a myriad of other unique interior finishes consisting of maple doors and trim, custom orthodontic casework, interior stained glass doors and windows, lighting bulkheads and valances, carpet with borders, imported tile floors, and glass block partitions.

Features:

• All of the finish carpentry and specialty work, as well as concrete and framing, was performed by Brandt employees.

• As an additional service to the owner, all of the mechanical and electrical systems were provided on a design build basis.

• The vast amount of orthodontic equipment and over 250 light fixtures required a 600 amp electric service to be installed.

• The HVAC system included three split systems with individually zoned rooms.
